Did you not see the tears,
That ran down my cheak,
That dripped off my chin
And on to my old sweater?
Did you not see my eyes,
That begged you to stay,
That told you to stop
And make things get better?

Did you not see my heart,
That broke into two,
Slowly loosing it's warmth
With no pain pain killers to swallow
Did you not see me,
Standing outside your door,
Drenched by the rain
And lost in the sorrow?

Did you not see the photos,
that lay on your shelf,
Now covered in dust
Of the many years?
Did you not see yourself,
Looking back in the mirror,
Just answer my question
Did you not see the tears?
