Different Eyes Poem by Francis Duggan

Different Eyes

Through different eyes difference we do see

What is beautiful to you may not be so to me

And what is beautiful to me may look ugly to you

For to agree on all things it would be hard to find two

Our different opinions makes us more interesting some are known to say

Since many of us do view things in a different way

Though between us there would be more harmony

We would be boring if on all things we did agree

How boring we would be if we all thought in the same way

And you agreed with everything that everyone else did say

Then of change for the better of we would not know

You will not see many flowers where weeds in abundance do grow

If we all thought in the same way and on all things agreed

How dull and how boring we would seem indeed.
