Direction? - Poem by Alex Gutierrez
Where am i when the light goes dim?
Stuck in the dark i cant pretend
like everythings fine
like everythings alright
Im feeling hands now
and theyre holding me so tight.
Cant shake this hold
cant break this mold i was made in
everything gets cold
and sooner or later all this shit gets old..
im reaching for the string now
to bring you back in
or bring you back on
like nothings wrong or gone
Missing the heat from your light
missing the pain you brought my eyes
whats better love or despair?
where should i stay if both of you take me there
Direction is nothing but confusion
rotting at my brain hoping its all an illusion
not choosing that way or that way
im gonna go my way
with my eyes closed and no affirmation
where itll take me
but i know thats my destination.
there, over there is where im supposed to be.
