Disaffect Poem by Dyna Misery

he would rather be alone
than be with me
his lies and insults have shown
how cold he can be
filling in the blanks is easy
when you're not given an explanation
it's all kept in secrecy
from me
with no indication
of what the real problem could be
i hope he's pleased
with the mess he's made
of the girl he laid
and how he teased
me with the charade
of the wonderful man he portrayed
during this love affair masquerade
i think maybe he was correct
when he said it wasn't me
that spoiled our intimacy
because now when i reflect
i realize it was his dishonesty
that led to my disaffect
