Discipline - Poem by Bamisaye Adeniran
I’m the belt that holds your waist
The lamp that lights your path
And the eyes that keeps your sight on the cup
I’m the one that provides that inner strength.
The one that gives you balance
I provide the inner strength
I’m the one who propels you
I’m the one that mold into shape.
Providing you wit self control to keep you on track
Taking your eyes off the crowd
And keeping them glued to the crown
Bringing first the pain and delaying gratification.
Come on hold on to me
I’ll get you there
Make me your companion
And I’ll take you to your promised land.
