Standing in the middle of ruckus,
Pretending to listen, he stands
Hears a part of a story, then suddenly other's,
Wonders if its a disease or has he gone bonkers
Speaks something, but makes no sense,
Gets mocked at by those scornful grins,
He sets away, slips into the swoon,
Wraps up and hides in his cocoon
Mystified by paths as he looks around,
Dragged into slumber by haziness abound
Often lands in murky swamps,
Flooded by ambivalent feelings he tramps.
Trudging through life brings along stagnation,
Eyes on the ground, he's facing damnation
If ever he shows grit to stand up again,
Place where he belongs is easily shown.
Looks in the face of reality,
Still covers it for defence
He knows what the truth is,
But is living disconnected, running away in denial!

The abstract that 'love hurts' is depicted as the topic. It is conceivable that 'love hurts' is a topic as the feelings depicted like Trudging through life brings along stagnation mirrors the feelings a typical person would feel after a breakup.
