Disillusionement Poem by Gianni Pansensoy

Disillusionement

Everybody is shocked,
awed By Janet Lim Napoles' Pork-Barrel scam probe,
on social media and radios,
it's the deafening topic,
but I am not sold to its popularity,
rather be numb,
neither of them deserve public trust,
her and the prosecutors,
them are the same looters in robes.

On televisions via satellite,
in the middle of confusion and tragedy,
government's officials are still debating,
pointing fingers of whom should be blamed,
Yolanda's death toll is dramatically rising,
she magnified their ineptness,
her victims are dying in hunger,
yet the distribution of donations is moving too slow,
but I don't want to see it,
it drives me schizophrenic,
rather be dumb,
them are irresponsible public servants,
they know nothing but to steal people's taxes.

Look at them,
watch their ridiculous political ambitions,
without viable political platforms,
they promise thousands of political stupidities,
and running for public offices,
with their deceptive lies,
quite amusing yet deadlier than serpent's venom,
everybody is voting,
but I don't want to elect,
rather be apolitical,
them are bunch of robbers
their faces look like growling foxes,
forming a group of mobsters to lynch the national treasury.

You asked me once,
'Is violence necessary for social change? '
Perhaps,
there are things that could be achieved through violence,
but I trust democracy,
perhaps,
intelligent evolution can change our ways.
