Don'T Tell Us Goodbye Nelson Mandela Poem by Gianni Pansensoy

Don'T Tell Us Goodbye Nelson Mandela

From a revolutionary to a reconcliator,
from a prisoner to a president.

A valiant redeemer of a nation,
deeply wounded by racial discrimination,
you travelled on the roughest road with pain
to abolish APARTHEID, peace was your conviction,
and won, but hatred was never part of this historical transition,
equality was finally achieved without embarking on political
retribution,

LOVE was the most powerful weapon towards reconciliation,
and your country is now sailing into a smooth transformation.

You are an eternal candle of change and unity,
not only to South African entity,
but to the whole humanity.

Your essential aspiration,
an adhesive glue of a divided world,
the greatest and the most precious contribution to mankind.

Madiba, the greatest father,
we know you are in heaven right now, your home,
listening and still watching us,
your death will never be an obstacle towards
the path that you have paved: GLOBAL PEACE,
you rekindled compassion in our hearts that live in
the darkness of hatred, racism and wars,
your death is not the death of an
aspiration that you have sown,
its growth and the struggle has just begun.

Someday, perhaps,
mankind will renounce hatred
and racial prejudice towards a WORLD PEACE,
where everybody will be a part and enjoy this wonderful dream.

We have just lost a torch,
perhaps the soul of mankind,
but not the HOPE for mankind's harmony,
the HOPE that you taught us,
regradless of skin color,
the world is very beautiful,
its people are really beautiful,
everybody can live in PEACE,
it's possible.

May you rest in peace,
thank you and thank you very much
for the sweetest gift that you have left us,
its spirit will never be buried with you,
but will dwell in us forever,
our eternal flame on a road to GLOBAL HARMONY.
