Distance Poem by Lity Munshi

Distance

Rating: 5.0

One cup of coffee
There on table
I'm keeping my hand
On my hand
In deep thinking

Distance between my
Wishes and reality __
this much

A rose out on road
Side vendor
Selling car to car

Distance with my voice
In time
That far
Distance with blue
Sky in my hut
Immeasurable

Coming out of grave
Of grief by illusion
Foretold folks
Life displayed

Distance is similar to
The Sun and the Moon
None can be cherish
At same time on vast

Wishes are running
Reality breaks speed

Distance is
Love and death
Silence
And pain

One cup of coffee
Lips drying

Distance
Is stranger
Out of planet
That resides

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The poet is a keen observer of life seeking to unravel the mysteries observed all around- some looking easy and others complex. Insightful with philosophical undertones. Thanks, Lily.
