We've been away from each other
for a little over 24 hours now.

We've been intangible to each other
and yet
we've never felt more touched.
You're still the voice in my head
and the face I see when I close my eyes,
and I'm still you're blanket that keeps you warm
whenever I'm not there.

Distance
has been our greatest connection yet.

I'll play with your hair,
but it's times like these
when I notice it's softness.
I could smile when you smile at me,
but it's now when that smile melts me.

Let's appreciate each other some more
then we'll come together and compare notes.
