Diversity Poem by Will Gibbs

Diversity

Rating: 5.0

You know the place, this face u knew.
The name is lost, the mind is torn.
A familiar feature, a touch of gold,
A light that glints off looks of old.
A look that smacks of beauty worn.
This face is one that u know well,
The person though, they lost and fell.
Lost their grip they went of track,
To climb back up an inevitable trek.
This face it tells a thousand lies,
Every lie a child cries inside.
A smile to smother every sin,
A look to once again begin.
The faded, jaded look of old,
A picture now it stands out bold.
You look again, the mirror still,
Lost control and left it all.
Know yourself you did not then,
Keep to track and do not bend.
Look ahead don’t dither here,
Again your young the faded has faded.
Afresh, anew and undecided.
Never lose your true ambitions,
Keep them locked amidst you person.
Be yourself against adversity
And conquer all in great diversity.
