Divine Poem by Sebastian Mari

Divine

For the one who has stolen all the roses out the garden of my heart;
And if a sentimental, foolish poet could turn roses to rhymes,
here’s a few more to take his part.

“If my love was wrong
may the waves of the sea cease to play.
If my love was cold
may the black of night carry on passed the break of day.
If my love was weak
may my words kill the kindness of a friend.
If my love was lust
may jealousy’s daunting reign never end.
If my love be true
may six white doves fly before us to cleanse our sight.
If my love be warm
may the crimson roses of our hearts shine with all their might.
If my love be strong
may the rains of goodness wash away all our pride.
If my love be calm
may our trust grow unconditionally with our own stride.”

You and I must make a pact
find solace in each other without turning back;
realising our chance in this shimmer of a lifetime
until we can be uncompromising Divine!
