Do Not Accept Living On Crumbs Poem by Tina Baaklini

Do Not Accept Living On Crumbs

Do not accept living on crumbs—
Crumbs of time, attention, or emotions.

Be in the front lines and take the initiative, or withdraw with head held high.

We were not created to live half a life or to be on the margins of anyone.

We came as kings and queens, dignified by ourselves, not by anyone else.
