Do Not Rely On Anyone Poem by Alex Koonthanam

Do Not Rely On Anyone

Do not rely on any one
Beyond a tolerable measure
Might kill your spirit, break your heart
And cause a lot of suffering, I'm sure.

Do not rely on any one
You know path is long, and heavy the load
When you or I or anyone
Might stumble and fall in the road.

Do not rely on anyone
Even when you are all alone
Mayn't stand a love that has no test
Of time or distance undergone.

Do not rely on anyone
Easier search a dropp lost in the sea
Than find a friend true and sincere
In the mass of humanity.

Do not rely on else one
Strength for the day, light for the night
Are here within, there high above
Invisible, but e'er in the sight.

So dear child, dear boy, dear man
The most reliable and the not
Are high above and down below
So look, act, and better your lot.
