do you know the truth
i do not need you.
i could leave you,
go somewhere far far away
without anyone
and be fine.
i would be fine.

but i choose you
to maybe come with me
and i acknowledge that
i need you now
in my life
to show me wrong things
and to learn how to give

do you know that i love you
do you know that
cant you see that i pray
for you
i pray for you to see what i see
i pray for me to love you like a girl should
a love that would make your sister proud
a Christlike love that you deserve

serving each other is difficult
impossible, really
yet i choose it
you have committed to it too
and though we're not even close
we are further along
than when we began
