Do You Like My Canvas? - Poem by charlotte marie peachey

Do you like my canvas?
It used to be
Clean,
Neat,
Pristine.

Do you like my canvas?
With lines that are new,
And lines that are old,
And many in between.

Do you like my canvas?
My ma don't.
She says it is
Ugly,
Disgusting,
The work of a freak.

My pa don't like it neither.
He says its
Not healthy,
Despicable,
Better to do something else.

Do you like my canvas?
Each line has a story,
Or did you not know?

Do you like my canvas?
'Cause if you don't...

You don't like me.
