Does He Know How Much It Hurts? - Poem by Nicole Buckland

It's getting late and it's raining outside
I'm still awake wishing you were by my side

But it's something that's never gonna happen
something that keeps me from even nappen

I can't stand to see you cry
I can't stand the sad good bye
I just wish you were here
in my arms to tell me it's alright
I'm missing you tonight

Why did he take you away from me
the pain it causes, can't he see
I know now baby, you have been set free
to a better place
Oh how I wish I could see your face

I stand in the rain
praying for your love
to come back to me from up above

I just can't stand those tears in my eyes
they sting, they dry, they see the lies
Why did you have to go
I just want to know
my love, enough, did I not show?

It's getting late and it's raining outside
I'm still awake wishing you were by my side
Does he know how much this hurts me?
