Dolly took the last bow on August 25th 2026.
Dolly Parton [1946 to 2026] Eulogy.
Oh Dolly, born into poverty but was very rich in love and contentment. She made the best out of her circumstances of humble beginning.
As a child she was very appreciative of every little thing provided by her struggling parents. Her childhood 'Coat of many colors' made for her by her mother was an evergreen memory in her life and exemplary appreciation worthy of emulation by generations yet unborn.
Dolly was every mother's pride and delight because of her good heart and love of family.
Oh Dolly, father could not read nor write but you immortalized him by your generosity to toddlers and children of this world by donating three hundred million books to these little angels, so they will not be like papa.
Oh Dolly, what difference can one person make in the world? Dollywood city and Dollywood Express provided the answer especially to the young and young-at-heart of this world.
Oh Dolly, your voice so unique that I have never seen another of its kind. This Angelic voice sang thousands of songs to the enjoyment of people all over the world.
Oh Dolly, you came, you saw and you conquered with love. 'Jolene' was a threat to your love life but she ended leaving the gentleman Carl your soul mate for you to love and enjoy for a lifetime.
Oh Dolly, your tiny body was so capacious to contain the largest heart, that heart loved limitlessly deeply, widely and cared so much for humanity.
Oh Dolly, you touched so many lives during periods of sorrow and despair. Whenever fire came to destroy, Dolly was there to provide reliefs. Whenever waterflow was too much for cities and caused destruction, Dolly was there to give hope and show that she truthfully love and people cannot deny that she loved them. Dolly was love and love was Dolly.
Oh Dolly, 'I will always love you', was your song that you lived your dailylife by. Your daily devotion and practice of giving were testimonials to this. You gave endlessly and without limits, your giving knew no skin colors, no boundaries and no language barriers.
Oh Dolly, you were a God's gift to mankind. People call you American legend but you were a world icon and a universal ambassador with multiple talents. Dolly was an angel in human body.
Oh Dolly, thank you for your solidarity with the working class. Your song '9 to 5' was a demonstration that there is dignity in labor. You memorized the entire scripts of the movie '9 to 5', what a rare talent you possessed.
Oh Dolly, your transition to glory came as a rude shock to me and billions of people worldwide.
Our loss is a gain for the angels in heaven and Carl your soul mate. You loved Carl so much that you couldn't wait to join him on the other side of divide to continue your love story till eternity.
Oh Dolly, someone should wake me up from this sleep because your demise is like a dream to me. 'I will always love you ' will continue to be a consolation to all of us that love you.
Oh Dolly, I just woke up from my slumber to the realization that you are no more. You will no longer welcome us at Dollywood land, no longer our chief hostess at Dollywood Express.
I am tearful and my tears have turned into sobbing, my sobbing into wailing.
'Goodbye Dolly' say all of us from Tennessee, 'Adieu' say all of us from God's own land, and 'Odigbaose' from my native land.
We will always love you Dolly.
