Domestic Violence Poem by Dr Arshia Sheikh

Domestic Violence

Rating: 1.0

It's still a domestic violence.
Even your head is not slammed into a wall,
And you are choked,
Or hit by monster, and you fall.

It's still a domestic violence.
If they degrade your pride,
Blame you what you have not done,
Scream on you, and you couldn't abide.

It's still a domestic violence.
When they lie to you,
Cheat your love and your trust,
All they want to control you.

It's still a domestic violence.
When your finances are withhold,
Your respect is strangulated,
You should come out from that mould.

Gather your respect, take your decision,
You are enough for yourself, you don't need compassion.
One day you will rise,
Their is no place for your cries! !
