Don'T Poem by Gen Doe

Don'T

Rating: 5.0

A barrage of firey tears,
Burning with each drop.
A quiet deafening scream,
Breaking glass with every shriek.
A slave in the land of the free,
Fighting for sweet liberty.
A zombie with a soul,
Walking amidst life.
Give a kid an adult burden,
But with the treatment he deserves.
Because you cant give a man options,
If he cant choose for himself.
Dont throw principles in his mind,
If you're not ready to catch his ideals.
Don't give him shoes too big,
If the remaining space will be filled with disbelief.
Don't ignore his needs,
Because he'll grow to ignore them too.
When that day arrives,
He wont know who he is,
And it'll all be thanks to you.
