Don'T Cry Children Poem by Ashley Jarrett

Don'T Cry Children

They stood and watched
Their life was torn away
Everything they love was torched
In the fire, the night was like day

Please don't cry children
'Tis only life that makes you sad
The victors are only beholden
To take what you once had

Safety is but a product of the mind
Nothing is truly safe in this world
For the predators will always find
A snag they can unfurl

Sleep well tonight children
Behind this imaginary wall
For once you have forgotten
They will bring the world down upon us all
