Don'T Funk With My Heart Poem by Sam Byron

Don'T Funk With My Heart

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what would you say
if i took you home?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what would you do
if i said i love you?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what would you think
if i said you belong to me?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what you would want
if i said i was yours?

don't funk
with my heart

it's a fragile
thing

i wonder
what you would say
if i asked you?

i will no longer wonder
because today as i left the bar
i asked my unanswered questions

and you
decided
not to

funk
with my heart

and you said
'love is a fragile
thing
and even though
i've tried to squelsh it
my fragile heart
has blossomed with
love for you'

so we went home
and
my unanswered questions
were
finally answered.
