Don'T Make Up Lies Poem by Abby Mize

Don'T Make Up Lies

Relationships aren't ever worth it
They are always really bad
It always ends the same
I'm always looking sad

But I decided to take a chance
Relationships are just insanity
In the end there's always fighting
And usage of profanity

I thought you were grown
Better than playing a game
I thought that you were different
You were really just the same

Remember when you left me
Remember that awful night
Everything was your fault
For starting up a fight

Tears roll down my face
As our relationship finally ends
When I walk the other way
You say we can still be friends

I turned and spoke these words
Tears fell from my eyes
Friends are always true
And friends don't make up lies!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
