Don'T Tell Me Poem by Alfred Ramos

Don'T Tell Me

Where are you going
Empty handed
With no dream in tow
Don’t tell me, I already know
Is this exactly how
How you planned it
With no particular place to go
Don’t tell me
Because I’m not chasing your lost rainbow
Where are you going
Empty handed
Your smile has lost its glow
Please tell me, is it for show
If this is for real
Then I demand it
It’s a necessity you must bestow
The yellow brick road is fading
The sun is chasing it away
Bringing darkness we’ll all be hating
Because in the end we will all have to pay
So where are you going
With that empty suitcase
Filled with disgrace
Don’t tell me
I don’t want to know
I feel it from head to toe
That were headed for down below
