Don’t Throw Away Your Heart Poem by Kellyn, A Grau

Don’t Throw Away Your Heart

Hunger calls my hearts desire
It’s kindling the endless fire
My eyes have dried from blood tears
I’ve learned to cope with pain threw all my years
Its and endless cycle that we can’t avoid
It’s slowly kills us and then it destroys
Our little hopes and tears out our dreams
We’ll slowly mend but it toys with our seams
So when you’re happy don’t think it will last
Because the bliss will fade in the past
There always sorrow lingering near
So take care on what you hold dear
Watch the shadows and be weary of pain
Just throw your heart ache into the rain
You’ll be ok if you pull your self together
But just remember happiness is not forever
I know we are all only searching for salvation
But you can’t help felling the constant frustration
Your words will loose their meaning in mindless conversation
You’ll be the one to hold all the obligations
So think before you hold you heart out
Because once it’s broken you’ll fill up with doubt
So help your self a little and lock it away
Because for you let in a little more each day
Don’t feel the crimson fall from your eyes
Because it’s painful when everyday you cry
Watch your shoulders and steal away your mind
Keep your self cold and then you should just hide
Any reaction or emotion you feel
Until you know if it’s finally real
