Don'T You Cry Poem by Sophie Slavin

Don'T You Cry

Rating: 3.5

Hold those tears when the time comes,
When it’s the hour to say goodbye,
I know your heart will be hurting,
But please Mum, don’t you cry

Keep those memories of us alive,
Treasure our photos, try not to weep,
I know its hard to find that peace,
But please Mum, get some sleep.

You’ve been so good to me, loyal and kind,
For that I will now live by your side,
I’ll be running to meet you in the field,
So please Mum, don’t say goodbye.

Cuddle me now like you always did,
Although I know its not the same,
Give me some strength and comfort,
Let me feel your face bury in my mane.

Know that I’m free now, its my time to go,
So stay strong, please promise youll try,
As I look at you from Rainbow Bridge,
Feel my love and don’t you cry.
