Don't Immortalize A Bad President Who Is Still Alive

It's Tuesday Jan.,30th 2018,
Pres. Trump's 1'st State of Union Address will be tonight
And we hear he wants to put his name on the highway project
From the infrastructure package, that is way overdue.

And while no human is only good, or only bad as a rule
Some whose displays are daily in our faces
We can say for sure are mostly malignant, and bad for all
Mr. Trump who incites his allies to attack marginalized others
Comes the closest to being bad at all times
Therefore, such a person should not be honored with
monuments, for being bad most of the time

Mr. Trump displays ways of tyrannical, vindictive bullies
Yet his conducts are being adored by members of his party
who knows better
But chose to remain in fearful silence
Because Trump is a white man, who must not be allowed to fall
Especially on the heels of a most accomplished black President
Who was legally elected two times
Against Mitch Mc Connel's efforts to make him 'one term'.

There's a good reason why becoming a Saint is posthumous
Maybe over centuries, ancestors must've realized
That although one might start off doing good consistently
It doesn't mean that at some point he cannot switch to being bad
Therefore such a credit was best left for when that person is dead
And his good record had not been defiled.

Yet there seems to be a peculiar defiance and exaggerated need to glorify evil, from racist mindsets in the U.S.
So that they'll defy established norms that have evolved to a greater level of rightness,
And glorify known evils and ungodliness anyway.

Consequently, there became a mad rush in the not so distant past
To erect monuments and name Government buildings and highways
For dead men who were known to have done the most ungodly evils and cruelties
In their efforts to keep the enslavement of black people alive.

Names that are now being removed from roads, schools etc.,
And numerous monuments having to be demolished
Since they were all monuments for whites to enjoy the memories
of how cruel and evil their ancestor's actions were
While for blacks to keep re-experiencing the memories of ungodly horrors our ancestors had to endure

And today one would think that white Americans more than any other group of humans on earth
Would be the least willing to entertain the thought of making
problem leaders heroes anymore
Especially a man like Donald Trump who has been committing crimes since he was old enough to do so -it seems.

And if petty criminals can have privileges curtailed while under investigation
Why shouldn't a President whose crimes are of the highest order
Like possible obstruction of justice, or suspicion of treasonous behavior
Still be allowed the privilege to solicit for his name to be on monuments for perpetuity?

Why are people surrounding this man so unwilling to re-activate
and reclaim scruples, decency and respect for all voters?
To know that such talks should not be publicly stated until all investigations have determined
That beyond a shadow of doubt, no collusion or obstruction occurred
And he should no longer be distressing us daily with lies and divisions
Before 'we the people' pay to place his name in marquee lights?

This president; with malignancy attached to his resentments,
vindictiveness and racism,
Quickly erased significant achievements of his predecessor, Obama
While increasing chaos, distractions, and deflections every day
And for this we should honor his name on highways?

Tax money from marginalized citizens, should not, without consent
Be used in the glorification of the Chief who abuses us
Like many of color whom he's attacked with words.
So please; don't force insults on our injury; that still is raw.

In the past we couldn't instantly review major policy intentions
Thus many offensive policies were erected without the people' consent
But now we realize, that; like names of bad hurricanes
Names of tyrannical leaders should be retired, not extolled.
