Don't Tell Her 1

Your lips tell lies
Yet are not betrayed by your eyes
Your rune's been broken so now I realise
It was for show, now I know
That
Your soothing breathe was really a dragon's fire
Upon my crusted exterior, impatient to consume my desire
Like the green eyed beast of the sea
You seek to hoard every shiny thing to see
But when all has been gained, you still find yourself lost
Like the tower of Babel, you sink into shame
Wondering, if gaining attention was life's aim
You remind me of the sun
With all its beauty and majesty
Insecure
Hides with a glare when you stare
