Doom And Gloom Poem by Anne Marie

Doom And Gloom

As sun rises upon this land through purple clouds and flirting sparrows
Rain stops dripping, kids start skipping as gardeners fill their barrows

A masked crusader upon a pink horse goes galloping over hills
As beetles sweat within their debt and struggle to pay their bills

Thirsty fingers pull along a carriage with triangular wheels
Pay your rent then stop for lent, swinging, dodgy deals

As grass grows and flowers bloom, the world begins to twinkle
But will it end in doom and gloom, will flesh begin to sprinkle

Will insides end up on the out, will blood flow through streams
Eye balls popping, heart beat stopping, true become bad dreams

Thoughts of you loving me and never letting go
I love you true, I love you too and yes I need you so

Here are spinning circles, in a square denoted mind,
A fast adventure to dementia, going deaf and blind

Falling deep, into a pit, of darkness never stopping
Love forever, die together, may we share a coffin? .
