Door Poem by Res John Burman

Door

An exercise in surreal poetry.

They say in Deep Space,
No one can hear you scream!
Of course they can't,
There's no one there!

But there is a Door.
A big, stout, solid door.
You never see it,
You never touch it,
Or hear it.

But you do hear,
The echo of it's slamming,
That tells you,
You're alone!

The echo,
Like a life,
Winking out!
