Door-To-Door Neighbors (Sonnet #114) Poem by Tina Baaklini

Door-To-Door Neighbors (Sonnet #114)

Our hearts are as two door-to-door neighbors,
When I need help, you're the first to rush in.
Thus, we've always been old friends, old lovers;
In my life, you came and made my soul spin.

Our souls spin as the moon around the earth;
We're related, connected, entwined.
We share love—true, genuine love and mirth—
My silence you read as you read my mind.

From our hearts' windows, we see the same view:
The green wood that we ought to visit.
Today, we watched the sunset with its tender hues;
Everything with you is pure joy, I admit.

Thus, we're not merely old acquaintances;
We're soulmates, our souls mirror each other in all stances.
