Charged up full, to do it’s best
copper brown, with an aluminum vest
ready to help and save the day
the helpfulness of the double A.
always ready to protect and serve
one of thousands, that made the curve
powering toys, so that children can play
best serviced by, the double A.
silver pins and a watery doom
we all grieve, for one lost to the gloom
it took a dive into the fray
a tearful loss, of the double A.
trained to handle any electronic device
knew it’s day would come, but gladly paid the price
helps anywhere, so they say
and anywhere you can find, the double A
now we remember, that troubling day
when that brave battery, went on it’s way
we must all never forget to pray
to the brave memory, of that double A.

Made me smile, my daughter has a remote control car, it takes ten of them. Costs a fortune. A great poem.
