Doubt



looming
tar black clouds,
saturated with uncertainty
effect misgiving
dissolve confidence
eclipse hope and promise,
then threaten the spirit

opaque,
water-welled
windows to the soul
blur perception
drown promise
convolve vision with doubt
to mire the soul
