Doves Poem by Garba Inuwa

Doves

So pleasant at sight
Even the beak does not threat
So very innocent, oh! How sweet
A creature which does not dirt
So sensitive and very sensible
Touching them can't make it fly.
So simple indeed to find
Even in the arid savanna.
So sacred and beautiful
Even if in a sunny desert
So amiable was her sways
In a trot so well measured.
So much is their breed
None suffers ailment like impotence
So strikingly beautiful are her eyes
While in her nest is a symbol of peace
So with courage and patience
Gathered to achieve her souls goal.
So, world will learn from her
That like success also peace comes after tears
So as I ask of her precious name
'Dove, the symbol of peace they called me'.
