Downpour Poem by bob barci

Downpour

We are in
when we should be out.
The downpour keeps us here.
So, some inside things
should keep us busy.
The plants need watering
I need to write,
You wish to try an experiment.
Perhaps a game of Scrabble.
Possibly a quick run to the store.
The downpour keeps us here.
A perfect excuse for doing inside chores.
Maybe a few calls to check on friends.
Downpours always make me feel lazy.
I wouldn't mind sleeping all day.
What's on the TV today?
The sun took the day off and stayed inside.
That's a good idea, so I will too.
