Tis said the key to creativity
is drawing on the right side of the brain,
So I read those books, with objectivity
for the promised genius I was to attain.
You see, I am a natural left hander
and I come from a creative family,
With delusions of my genius growing grandeur
I read each book's creative recipe.
One book proclaimed that I could learn to draw
when asked to draw things backwards, I obeyed,
But when I took ART 101 I saw
the thing I drew best was a failing grade.
And now I'm writing sonnets, just to find
myself in desperate search of my right mind.
