Dream Of A Toxic Love. Poem by Charles-Albert Beauchamp Chucknicefield

Dream Of A Toxic Love.

Tear the smile from your face, extinguish your soul that burned with passion. Guilty of nothing, yet it is you who pays the price.

Security, pride and companionship, it's so little to ask for and all you expect, yet my actions are cold.

Words misspoken, gestures misplaced, without debating the accusations made, guilty of being passionate since the first glance crossed. Emotions and remorse felt, although my forgiveness will never be enough, my soul is sorry for not loving you properly.
