Dream sweetly, love, for I am near
Forget your loneliness and fear
Let slumber heal your wounded soul,
Restore your strength and make you whole

In dreams life’s misery is ended
In dreams, life’s brokenness is mended
Awake, we make the most of living
By loving, caring, and forgiving

Events that pass are not our choice
In God’s affairs we have no voice
In sleep alone do we find rest
Dream sweetly, love, in my caress
