A dream turned reality
I blushed when you smiled at me
ashamed
because I'm occupied
but fate
I believe
brought you by my side
and suddenly
I'm bound to see
the dream that sits in front of me
as perfect
as I want it to be
but it's so far from reality
I slowly allow it to cloud my vision
& I'm saddened to see what I could be missing
Alas
I never got to finish
what may have been the best of dreams
because I was jerked out of my sleep
by what may have been
my dream turned reality
'cause you were always there
right next to me
