Dream World Poem by Matthew J. A. Bryan

Dream World

Rating: 5.0

Swirls of colours form objects,
Green sky and blue grass,
Two headed beasts that roam and
Winged monsters screeching in the sky,
It was here that I met her,
Twirling in the wind
She was a separate entity,
Not one with nature,
An angel on earth
Rather than in heaven above,
Looking at her filled me with joy,
Her hair, long and golden,
Was the same colour as her eyes,
She grabbed my hand and we danced
Under the yellow moon and the green sky,
She told me she loved me
And I told her I loved her,
We shared a kiss
And embraced long into the night,

When I woke up I cried for her,
In my grey little apartment,
In a grey little suburb,
In a grey little town,
I would never see her again.
