Dreamers Poem by Scout Jean

Dreamers

'A rock star.' she claimed.
'I'll be one.'
Where is she?
100 miles away.
We don't talk.
For she's mad.

'A designer? ' She proclaimed.
'I'll be one.'
Where is she?
here.
In a dump hot as hell.
She'll make it soon.
I know.
I'll stand and watch.

'An actor! ' He exclaimed.
'I'll be one.'
Where is he?
Nowhere to be found.
I'll see him someday.
Lost in narcotics.

and myself?
well...
I'm...here.
amt I?
and I won't be sure.
don't think that I'll ever be.
for i myself am dead.
The actor took my heart.
The designer took my trust.

'And the rock star? '

she became my first enemy.
