Dreaming Of You Poem by Aidan Clevinger

Dreaming Of You

You dream tonight of your fancy clothes,
Your future fame,
But you don't know,
Tonight I am dreaming too.
Dreaming of you.

All around the world they lie
Dreamers with open eyes.
They giggle and cry and sigh,
But they don't feel quite the way I do,
Dreaming of you.

You've gone and made me such a fool,
Why should I care when you don't?
I should try to get a little sleep,
But I know tonight I won't.

So to the Lord I breathe a prayer,
That when I dream,
You'll meet me there.
And we'll stroll together, just we two,
While I'm dreaming of you.
