Dreams Poem by kelly mchardy

Dreams

You keep chasing me down th same old streets of memories I don’t wish to repeat

Old windows old floors you keep closing the same old doors

Running down these corridors our pictures on the walls

Dreams of memories I can’t forget

A life once simple once pure

Tainted glass of a life no more

Hidden in the past memories fading fast

I need to breath and wake up from this dream

Dreams of memories that’s all they are

Sometimes they seem so very far

Everyday I try to forget

Only to fall asleep and wake with regret

I say I don’t want to remember these things

But inside my heart does sing

These dreams that I dream of a life once been

To breathe again is to have you here

Il keep on running to have you near
