Dreams Poem by Ritchie Joseph

Dreams

They are weightless and shapeless,
ever shifting so.
They are of bold knights
and of irrational fights.
Of aliens in outer space,
of mysterious creatures in the haze.

However impossible, dreams make it possible.
To fly in the sky
and to fall over and die.
To ride the stars
and to buy flashy cars.

So why not make them a reality,
a dream that you can follow.
One that will change everything.
One that will turn tables in your favour,
one that will give people a brain fever.

So make one now, absolutely fast
and don't forget to leave the past.
Learn from your mistakes
for those are your stepping stones
and only with that, will you gain success.

I initially wrote this for the school article. I had done bad in school lately and that set me thinking. I dedicate this to my mother who has helped me through my life.
