Dreams And Simplicity's Poem by Katheryn Foley

Dreams And Simplicity's

What do we do when we know nothing?

Why do we fight when we just started healing?

When does this stop will we ever rest?

I can't keep going when I'm so broken,

Send me a hint from the world above,

To let me know that there is love trying to find me too.

This can't be it and just keep going,

Hidden in a million dreams, is life simplicity,

I'll do anything to make things better,

To change this way of life,

Missing everyone you love,

Crying at night to keep sane,

Wondering if anyone knows my name and my shame,

Could they live with a girl so broken inside,

I don't think they could handle my fight,

Or that they would have to hold me tight, to hold back,

I'm only sixteen living in a thirty year olds world,

Life shouldn't be this complicated,

Already my world has caved in,

All of it surrounded by sin,

Am I really not good enough to have it a little better?

But I'll make it on this road knowing that I'm not alone
