Dreams Forgotten Poem by Mike Sangombe

Dreams Forgotten

Hopes swallowed by the thirst of life,
Hearding in the wrong direction,
Tired of chasing,
Dreams covered with spider webs,
The world got in the way,
Living the life i never imagined,
Its now all about tryin to make ends meet,
Hate the life but forced to love it,
Living an uncomfortable life comfortably,
Days passin fast as lightning,
Yet i remain on the same position,
Instead of goin foward im goin backwards,
What i wished for isnt what i got,
Thats life it doesnt always go the way we want,
Like a piece of paper drifting in the wind,
It goes where the wind goes,
Dreams forgotten,
A life with no choice...
