Eyes closed.. in mid summer lofty dreams and hopes.
Laughter all around.. with kids and friends abound
All that is loved and cherished... You sigh

Darkness........................

Eyes open wide.. flash of fears and regrets
Dark thoughts.. no more laughter.. no more cheer
No more love..no one to cherish...you cry

Darkness........................

One son lay resting..close in his bed..as you kiss gentaly his head
Warm nestled in bed with ones love held tight
Family as one secure and unharmed...you sigh

Darkness.......................

Standing alone...in torn and tatered clothes
A heart split in two...bleed from your soul
Filled with sadness...never to see joy again...you die

Darkness.......Eternal.....everlasting.....Darkness
