Dropped A Dream Poem by Paul Larmour

i dropped a dream into a bottle
i dropped the bottle into a stream
which carried it softly down to a river
which worried it away
dashing and flashing over
rapids and rocks
to a dozing delta
and a welcoming sea
it sailed and sparkled and sunk
and lies with a million other dreams
that didn't make it
but some day i'l dream the dream
that sails the sea
and reaching that shore
spills out and takes root
and fruits
and flourishes
and finds its feet
and becomes what it is
and not a dream
anymore
