Drown Poem by Ashen Vale

Drown

I like to swim
but I love to drown
under water
sinking down.
Icy cold fills my lungs
There is no air - it seems unfair.
I want to strike up to see some light
but the silence down here holds me tight.
Nothing destroys it,
nothing is loud
can't hear my breath,
not even a sound.
No boat is near
not a thought of fear
My head it screams for freedom and peace
What a release - no voices
Just me here deep down
trying to swim but wanted to drown
