to swim in your soul
wrapped in the warmest wool,
at winters biting best
a grand-fatherly hug
when your balloon flies away
warm PJs from the dryer
on a made-for-pancakes morning
to live in your soul
electricity all around
nipping at your skin
uncontainable excitement
uncontrollable smiles
rapid lip-smashing respirations
blissful exhaustion
I wish I could just fall into your eyes
lose myself so deep in those hazel pools that no one would ever find me again
